About
Caps A well-chosen cap is one of the more quietly powerful things a person can wear. It requires no occasion, no explanation, and very little effort — which is, of course, exactly what makes it look effortless. The Laird London cap collection covers the full range of British cap-making — flat caps in wool and tweed, baker boy caps with a structured crown, newsboy caps cut for a looser silhouette, and docker caps for something with a lower profile. All hand-finished. All made to improve with wear. The styles Flat Caps The most enduring shape in British headwear. Woven wool, herringbone tweed, and cotton canvas in a low-profile silhouette that works as hard in town as it does in the country. Baker Boy Caps Eight panels, a structured crown, and a short peak. The baker boy carries more shape than a flat cap and suits a broader range of face structures. A considered choice. Newsboy Caps A looser, fuller crown than the baker boy, with the same peaked brim. Steeped in early twentieth-century working dress and entirely at home in contemporary wardrobes. Docker Caps Minimal peak, close fit, lower profile. The docker is the most understated cap in the collection and often the most versatile. Materials & construction Our caps are made from wool, herringbone tweed, cotton canvas, and cord — each chosen for how the fabric holds its shape and softens over time. The difference between a cap that lasts a season and one that lasts a decade is almost always in the cloth. Fit & sizing Caps are sized by head circumference across our full size range. Most styles include a size adjuster. If you are measuring for the first time, our size guide takes less than a minute. 30-day returns
