Secto design lamps Secto Design was born out of a need for original wooden lamps to complement similar furniture. The lamps are manufactured from wood by craftsmen and are attractive in look and feel. These lamps are a trend and are used with countless fascinating functions and in countless locations. The goal behind a Secto Design lamp is to create an inviting and attractive atmosphere. Through their architecture, they provide exactly the right amount of light to achieve this. There is also a great emphasis on space in the design. Secto design lighting The brand was founded in 1995 by Seppo Koho and Tuula Jusélius. The designs themselves are bright and fresh, with attention to detail and evidence of professional woodworking. Secto's lamps are unique in the sense that they are made of wood, a new addition to the lamp industry. They are made from top-quality PEFC-certified Finnish birch veneer that is brought into shape as an unfinished material. The unfinished material is then cut into slats and sanded. The end result is stitched together with rings of aircraft plywood. The entire process of craftsmanship takes place in Finland. The lamps are made entirely by hand here. Each Secto Design lamp is therefore a strong example of craftsmanship. As the incredible Secto Design lamps have been exhibited at markets around the world, they have also become coveted worldwide. This has given rise to various 'copy cats', who mimic the original Secto lamp design with other, cheaper materials. However, Secto Designs has always stayed true to who they are and the quality of the lamps they produce. They take the environment into consideration through the production process, as the original Secto lamps are designed to be energy efficient.
