Powerful and Dangerous For those who want power, but do not want to dedicate their hands to a single weapon, the bastard sword is your perfect option . Having greater range than the long sword , bastard swords are weapons that make it easier to strike a target. They are named bastard swords because they do not fit in either the one handed swords or the two handed sword categories. Normally about 44 inches / 110 centimeters long , these LARP swords are often handled with both hands. However, with a little practice, nothing prevents you from using them with a single hand, and let your second hand free to hold a secondary weapon or a shield .
