WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC WINCH? An electric winch is a type of wire rope winch and mechanical device that uses an electric motor to wind and unwind a rope or cable around a drum. This process allows for the controlled movement of heavy objects, whether lifting vertically or pulling horizontally.
