WHAT IS A FORKLIFT DRUM ATTACHMENT? A forklift drum attachment is a piece of equipment that works in conjunction with your forklift truck for the purpose of lifting, handling, and transporting drums and barrels commonly used in industries to store liquids, chemicals, and other materials. These types of drum lifters allow for the safe and efficient moving of drums within warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial settings. WHAT TYPES OF FORKLIFT DRUM ATTACHMENT ARE THERE? We offer a wide range of forklift drum handling attachments, many of which feature excellent clamps, hooks, and cradles to securely hold and lift your steel/plastic drums. Some of the most commonly used types include (not exhaustive): DRUM CLAMP Drum clamp attachments typically consist of two arms that can be adjusted to securely grip the sides of the drum. The forklift operator can then lift and transport the drum using the clamp attachment. DRUM LIFTER Drum lifters often have a vertical design that allows a forklift to insert the lifting arms underneath the drum. The arms are then raised to lift and transport the drum. DRUM POSITIONER The Forklift Drum Rotator Attachment requires the operator to use a hand chain, the operator can control the position of the drum by pulling one way or the other. DRUM GRAB Drum grabs use a mechanical or hydraulic mechanism to grasp the drum securely. This forklift drum attachment is suitable for lifting and moving drums with different diameters. DRUM ROTATOR This forklift attachment is designed to rotate drums, allowing for controlled pouring or dispensing of the contents, typically featuring a mechanism to tilt and rotate the drum.
