In 1976, BEAMS was founded as a boutique to introduce Japanese youth to Ivy League and West Coast campus culture styles. Today, BEAMS is a “culture shop” – curating styles that fuse traditional craftsmanship with contemporary Japanese design. Upscale but utilitarian, BEAMS designs pieces that reimagine American style through a Japanese lens.
