About

Disney Lorcana is the trading card game that finally did Disney properly — familiar characters, genuinely good deckbuilding, and artwork people frame rather than sleeve. It is approachable enough that a family can learn it in an evening and deep enough that it holds up at a tournament table. We have stocked it since launch from our shop in Barry, South Wales. How Lorcana works You play as an Illumineer collecting lore, and the first to twenty wins. Cards are split across six ink colours, and a deck uses at most two of them — which is the single decision that shapes everything else you build. Amber and Amethyst lean on characters and control, Emerald and Ruby on speed and disruption, Sapphire and Steel on items and removal. Pick a pair that suits how you like to play and the deckbuilding gets much easier from there. What to buy first Starter decks — two ink colours, ready to play, and the right first purchase for almost everyone Booster packs and boxes — for opening, drafting and building a card pool Illumineer's Troves and gift sets — packs plus deck boxes and play aids, and good value if you are buying as a present Accessories — playmats, sleeves and binders in the official set artwork Sets and rarities New sets arrive roughly every few months and older ones do not stay in print forever, so chase cards from earlier sets climb quickly. Attack of the Vine is the current release — we covered it in full in our set guide . If enchanted cards and the rest of the rarity ladder are still a mystery, our rarities explainer untangles it. Upcoming sets go live for pre-order ahead of release day, which is how most people get boxes at launch rather than at resale prices. Sleeve what you pull — card sleeves and deck boxes are here — and the wider TCG range is worth a look if you play more than one game. Next-day UK delivery, free over £65.
