About

Directional Top Mount longboard has a clear front and a backside (opposed to a symmetrical one where the front and back are exactly the same). Most boards ride best in a certain direction, but this doesn't mean you can't use it when riding in the nonstandard direction, some would just be harder to control that way. Pintails are great examples of this. Most pintail longboards are top-mounted and have a "front" and a "back". The top mount indicated that the trucks are all below the board (unlike drop through where the trucks come through the board). These boards are typically used for cruising, carving, and also a fair amount for downhill.
