Girl Skateboards is a Torrance California-based company. Originated in 1993 after a selection of team riders from World Industries - notably Mike Carroll and Rick Howard - decided to found their own brand. Girl came from someone telling Rick Howard that he 'skates like a Girl', they thought it was funny and ran with it. They also own the Chocolate skateboard brand. Their primary product is professionally endorsed skateboard decks.
