A Symmetrical Top Mount longboard has no front nor back and you can ride it in both directions. They are also called bi-directional longboards and have a symmetrical shape. A bi-directional longboard is great for when you go freeriding, sliding from hills so that after you do a 180 you can just continue. Going forward, or backwards on these boards is a blast. This shape has really grown in popularity in the last couple of years.
