Loop has the most beautiful and eclectic collection of incredible British yarns. It's like being at a yarn fair! Hand-dyed yarns from independent dyers as well as the big guns. In our British Yarn section, the term refers to yarns that are spun, dyed or produced in Britain — but that doesn’t always mean the fibre itself comes from British sheep. Some makers, such as John Arbon Textiles, Daughter of a Shepherd , Jamieson's and The Border Mill , specialise in sourcing and spinning genuinely British-grown fleece, often from specific native breeds. Others, including Eden Cottage Yarns, Uncommon Thread and Mrs Moon , are British brands producing beautiful yarns in the UK, but may use fibres such as Merino or alpaca that are grown overseas. Where a yarn is made from 100% British sheep wool, we will always state this clearly in the product description.
