About

Longarm safes suited to Category A and B licence holders — rimfire and air rifles, break-action shotguns, centrefire rifles and pump or lever-action shotguns. As a general guide, Category A and B storage calls for a steel receptacle of specified thickness, bolted through to the structure of the building, fitted with a sturdy lock, with ammunition stored in a separate locked container. Exact wall thickness, bolt-down and locking requirements are set by your state and are the authority here, not us — your local licensing officer or firearms registry will tell you what passes inspection at your address. Two things people get wrong. First, buy for the licence categories you hold or expect to hold, not the gun you are buying today: if Category H is on the horizon, buy to that standard now. Second, buy bigger than you need. Almost everyone outgrows their first safe within a couple of years, and a larger cabinet costs far less than a second safe plus a second installation. Safes are heavy freight and may attract additional delivery charges or require depot collection. Call the Roseville store before ordering if you are outside metro Sydney.
