Over-unders, side-by-sides, semi-autos and pumps in 12, 20, 28 gauge and .410. Choosing between them usually comes down to the discipline. Trap and skeet shooters want a heavier over-under with longer barrels and adjustable comb to hold the swing. Sporting clays reward a versatile 30" over-under with a good choke set. For ducks, quail and rabbit work in the field, weight and balance matter more than barrel length, and a semi-auto takes the sting out of a long day. Multi-chokes are standard on most models and let one gun cover several jobs. All shotguns require a current licence and Permit to Acquire, and are transferred through a licensed dealer.
