Basalt is volcanic rock, dark gray to near black, with a dense grain that takes a polish on the cut faces while the sides stay rough as they came out of the ground. That contrast is the whole look, and water running over it makes the polished face read almost black. This collection carries 39 designs from Blue Thumb and Tranquil Decor, as complete pondless kits: single columns, triple sets, birdbath tops and Zen arrangements. The reservoir buries below ground, so there is no standing water at all. Everything ships free to the lower 48 states.
