A fire fountain carries flame and falling water in one piece, and unlike a pool-mounted bowl it brings its own water with it. The basin and the pump are built in, so it works on a patio, in a courtyard or beside a driveway with no body of water underneath. Most spill over a 360 degree seamless lip, so water sheets evenly off the whole rim while the fire burns in the middle. There are 15 designs from The Outdoor Plus, HPC, Blue Thumb and TessaRai, from $2,000, in hammered copper, GFRC concrete and powder-coated metal. Everything ships free to the lower 48 states.
