Galaxy Lighting was founded by the Lee family in 1986 to supply builders' lighting to Canadian showrooms, and it now runs distribution out of Vancouver and Toronto. This is the full Galaxy range carried by Maple Electric Supply, around 1,170 fixtures spanning indoor and outdoor. Indoors it covers mini-pendants, linear pendants, chandeliers, wall sconces, flush-mount ceiling fixtures, vanity lighting and recessed downlights, in finishes including polished chrome, brushed nickel, bronze and black. Outdoors it covers wall-mount and flush-mount lanterns rated for exterior use. Prices start around $23 for a replacement glass shade and run into the mid-hundreds for multi-light chandeliers and linear pendants. Two things are worth checking on every fixture page before ordering: whether bulbs are included, since many are sold without them, and whether the fixture is dimmable, because a good number in this range are not.
