This common plate size makes replacements easy & helps ensure compatibility with a wide range of equipment. We always recommend checking the bolt hole size & bolt hole pattern to ensure compatibility if replacing existing casters. For higher capacity applications, we recommend a 4" x 4-1/2" mounting top plate , which is more common for medium duty casters .
