About
Carlton is one of badminton's founding equipment brands and the most widely used racket in Irish and UK school badminton. Its Aeroblade and Blade ISO rackets are built for durability under class use, and the F1 Ti and C100 shuttlecocks are the standard training shuttle in most club halls. At McSport Ireland we stock Carlton from single rackets through to complete secondary education badminton packs. Speed refers to how far the shuttle flies for a given hit, and it is matched to hall conditions. Slow shuttles suit warm halls at altitude, medium is the general-purpose speed for most Irish sports halls, and fast suits cold halls where the shuttle drops sooner. Nylon or feather shuttles? Nylon shuttles last many times longer and are the correct choice for schools and training. Feather shuttles give a truer flight and sharper deceleration for competition, but a tube may only last a few games. Which Carlton racket for a school? An aluminium-shaft Aeroblade or Blade ISO racket is the standard school choice — forgiving on mishits and far more resistant to frame damage than a full graphite competition racket.
