Eveque is the brand behind Sportshall Athletics — the indoor athletics format used in schools across Ireland and the UK. Its equipment is purpose-designed so track and field events can run safely inside a sports hall, using foam javelins, speed bounce mats and standing jump measures instead of full outdoor implements. An indoor athletics competition format designed so a full range of track and field events can be run inside a sports hall. Events include speed bounce, standing long jump, vertical jump, turbo javelin and shuttle runs — all scored and comparable across schools. What is a turbo javelin? A short, foam-tipped javelin with a tail fin, designed to fly true at low speed and land safely. It teaches correct javelin technique without the danger or space requirement of a metal javelin. How does speed bounce work? The athlete jumps sideways over a small foam wedge as many times as possible in a set period, usually 20 seconds. It measures explosive power and coordination and needs almost no floor space, which is why it is a Sportshall staple.
