Star ratings indicate quality and roundness. 1 star balls are for casual and training use, 3 star balls are the competition standard with consistent bounce and weight, and higher grades indicate tighter manufacturing tolerances. What do bat star ratings mean? Bat stars indicate rubber quality and playing characteristics. A 1 star bat like the Cub is control-oriented for beginners; a 5 star bat like the Arctic uses faster, grippier rubber for players generating spin and speed. Do I need a full size table?
