Size 3 (mini) for ages 5 to 8, size 5 for ages 9 to 11, size 6 for women and girls 12 and up and boys 12 to 14, and size 7 as the men's regulation ball from age 15. What is the difference between the Molten GG7X and a training ball? The GG7X is the FIBA official game ball, made from composite leather that grips better and needs a short break-in. Training balls use rubber or lower-grade composite covers that survive outdoor courts and high-volume school use. Is a futsal ball different from a football? Yes. A futsal ball is smaller (size 4) and low-bounce, so it stays under control on a hard indoor court. Using a standard football indoors makes the game far harder to control.
