Three Types of Clear Glass Tile: What Each One Is Type 1: Back-Colored Clear Glass Tile, Most Popular for Pools Back-colored clear glass tiles are the most widely installed in pools and kitchens. The tile body is made of transparent glass, 4mm to 8mm thick, and receives a color coating on the back surface during manufacturing. This gives the tile its color while keeping the front face glassy, clear, and light-reflective. The tile takes its perceived color entirely from the surface behind it, which means it can match any countertop, wall color, or pool interior withou
