About
Lace-up boxing gloves are the choice of serious fighters. Unlike hook-and-loop (Velcro) gloves, lace-ups provide a fully customised fit around your wrist — the laces distribute pressure evenly and eliminate the bulk of a strap under your wrist. The result is a locked-in, secure feel that hook-and-loop gloves cannot quite match. The trade-off is convenience: you cannot put lace-ups on by yourself. You will need a coach or training partner to lace you in, which is why they are primarily used for sparring and competition rather than solo bag work. For fight night, lace-ups are mandatory in most professional and amateur competition — the secure fit and slim profile give officials confidence that the gloves will not come off during the bout. Our lace-up range includes fight gloves and sparring gloves from Cleto Reyes, Fairtex, Twins, Hayabusa, and Sting. If you want the most secure, professional-grade fit available, lace-ups are the standard. Pair them with lace converters if you train solo and need to get in and out quickly.
