About
What's in This Collection? This collection includes three different types of products, each suited to a different project: Fireplace-specific mantel and cabinet kits from Modern Flames, Simplifire, Empire, and Monessen are designed to pair with one exact fireplace model, such as the Simplifire Inception or Modern Flames Orion. Non-combustible wall boards from Lexington Hearth and Pearl Mantels are paired with a mantel shelf or surround to fill the wall space around the firebox for a cohesive, finished look. Omega cast stone surrounds are general-purpose mantel surrounds that aren't tied to one specific fireplace model, and can work with a range of gas, electric, or wood-burning fireboxes. Check Compatibility Before You Order Most of the fireplace-specific kits in this collection are built to match one exact fireplace model and won't fit a different brand or series, even if the dimensions look similar. Confirm the kit is listed as compatible with your specific fireplace model before ordering. Omega's cast stone surrounds and the non-combustible wall boards are more flexible, but you should still measure your firebox opening carefully. Non-Combustible Wall Boards Wall boards are flat, non-combustible panels designed to be paired with a mantel shelf or mantel surround, not used on their own. They fill the wall space between the firebox and the mantel, creating a cohesive, polished surround look. Pearl Mantels' cast concrete boards can be cut with common masonry tools and installed with high-heat construction adhesive, while Lexington Hearth's boards are built to complement their matching mantel styles. Tools and Installation Installation requirements vary by product, but most projects call for a tape measure, level, drill, and screwdriver at minimum. Larger builds may also need a miter saw or circular saw, a trowel for adhesive, and basic safety gear. Always follow the clearance requirements in your fireplace's manual. Non-combustible materials are typically required c
