In regards to Natural Wine, Central Transdanubia is an up and coming wine region where more and more wine producers are taking on the natural wine path, however, this number is still quite limited compared to conventional production. Nestled between the Danube River and the stunning Balaton Lake in Hungary, winemakers here enjoy fertile volcanic soils and a favorable continental climate. The main grape varieties grown in Central Transdanubia include Furmint, Gamay, Zweigelt, Kékfrankos, and Riesling.
