This collection is all about Hyalite Opal. Our selection of hyalite opal gemstones are daylight fluorescent and are from Zacatecas, Mexico. All of the cut gems you see here are faceted in house by Steve Moriarty. As you may know, they also glow very brightly green under a long wave ultra violet flashlight. That said, the unique characteristic is the daylight fluorescent aspect, which the UV from from the sunlight will actually cause these gems to have a slight green glow in natural light. Some gems will have a stronger glow than others depending on the piece. This rare collection of gemstones frequently goes viral on Reddit. All faceted stones were cut by the owner, Steve Moriarty.
