The $3 Liberty Gold coin was produced by the United States Bureau of the Mint from the year 1854 to 1889. The obverse bears a representation of Lady Liberty wearing a headdress of a Native American princess and the reverse a wreath of corn, wheat, cotton, and tobacco. The coin has a purity of 90% gold (0.14512 troy oz) and 10% copper.
