MRCOOL DIY 4th Generation Series The MRCOOL DIY 4th Generation Series has the latest and greatest DIY Mini Splits from the MRCOOL brand. These mini split heat pumps offer precise, affordable, and efficient temperature control for both single-zone and multi-zone installations. DIY 4th Generation Single-Zone Mini Splits From the DIY 4th Generation Mini Splits, the single-zone systems are the most popular. These systems have a SEER2 rating up of up to 22 and come in 12K, 18K, 24K, and 36K BTU options. All single-zone mini splits come with a wall mounted air handling unit, with the 18K option being the only one to offer a ceiling cassette variant. From the wall-mounted single-zone systems, you get the added benefit of an Energy Star Certification with the 12K, 18K, and 24K units. DIY 4th Generation Multi-Zone Mini Splits For those looking to heat and cool more than one room, MRCOOL also offers the DIY 4th Generation Mini Splits in multi-zone configurations. These mini split heat pumps can be combined in a multitude of different ways, with the ability to regulate the temperature of up to 5 rooms. With the multi-zone systems, you can choose between a 2-zone (18K BTU), 3-zone (27K BTU), 4-zone (36K BTU), or 5-zone (48K BTU) condenser. These condensers can then be paired with two or more of the DIY wall-mount air handlers or ceiling cassettes. The wall-mount air handlers come in 9K, 12K, 18K, 24K, and 36K BTU options, while the ceiling cassettes come in 9K, 12K, and 18K BTU variants.
