More than 100 years have passed since their founder, Tosa Kajiura, began wholesaling steel and metal products in Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku Island, Japan. Among the many metal craftsmen they encountered, the craftsmen of Tosa stood apart. Their forging techniques originate from the traditions of Japanese sword making passed down for over 1,000 years. They continue to preserve these time-honored skills, creating handcrafted knives that reflect the spirit and craftsmanship of traditional Japanese blade making.
