Tuff City Records is an independent New York–based record label founded by journalist and producer Aaron Fuchs in 1981. Originally focused on hip-hop, the label expanded its catalog to encompass doo-wop, dancehall, jazz-influenced hip-hop, funk, soul, and other historically significant recordings, including archival reissues dating back to the 1940s. MVD Entertainment Group is the exclusive North American distributor for Tuff City Records.
