Find the Right Horse Girth A girth has a simple but essential job: helping to keep the saddle securely positioned while your horse moves underneath it. Choosing the right horse girth therefore comes down to much more than appearance alone. The correct style will depend on your saddle, discipline, your horse’s shape and the length of girth required.
