About

Fine motor skills are essential for performing everyday skills like self care tasks and academic skills. They involve the use of the smaller muscle of the hands and fingers, such as dressing & doing up buttons, zips & laces; writing, drawing & cutting (as in art & craft activities); opening lunch boxes & drink bottles. Efficient fine motor skills require independent skills to occur simultaneously to manipulate the object or perform the task.
