The Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap and the Stabilized Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap are from the Variable Compression System range (VCS), made from heat therapeutic neoprene, which works to warm muscles and joints and both have additional stabilization to the ankle complex. The Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap provides moderate support through tightening of the strap. The Stabilized Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap provides moderate to firm support and additional metal stays. The Ankle Brace with Air Cushions is from the VCS range but is not made of neoprene, this support offers moderate to firm support level. The Ankle Brace with Air Cushions provides support to the medial and lateral aspect of the ankle joint via inflating air cushion which can be deflated as swelling reduces or less support is required. If you have a particularly weak ankle, or have suffered a high ankle sprain, the Ankle Brace with Air Cushions may be for you as it will keep the ankle in a more secure position than the two neoprene supports. The Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap following the Stabilized Ankle Support with Figure of 8 Strap, can be used as a step down from the Air Cushioned Brace as the rehabilitation of your ankle continues and less support is required but you still have an issue with swelling.
