Use an alum block after rinsing your face to calm irritation, close pores, and provide an overall toning effect. It's especially useful if you’ve used a more aggressive razor setting or feel post-shave tightness or razor burn. Simply wet the block and glide it gently over the shaved area. Reach for a styptic pencil when you need pinpoint precision. If you nick yourself during shaving, moisten the tip of the pencil and apply it directly to the cut. It immediately seals the wound and disinfects on contact.
