In 1975, with the goals of creating his own distinct products, James Jannard left his job as a salesman for motorcycle parts distributor to begin the one-man project that was Oakley. Beginning with a innovative bike grip, the brand began to bring new ideas to life and soon found itself pushing the envelope of what sports-based sunglasses should be. Today, the brand has a cult-following thanks to its unique frames, lenses and influential technologies.
