About
Dried and crystallized fruit are an easy way to add natural fruit flavor, aroma, and complexity to homebrewed beer, hard cider, mead, wine, and hard seltzer. From bright citrus peel for Belgian ales to crystallized ginger for holiday beers and tropical fruits for seltzers, these ingredients make it simple to experiment with new flavors without the mess of fresh fruit or purees. We've used dried fruit and fruit peel throughout our own recipe development to create layered fruit character in seasonal beers, ciders, and specialty recipes. Citrus peel remains a staple in styles like Belgian Witbier, while crystallized fruits and dried botanicals offer unique ways to customize everything from wheat beers and meads to sparkling beverages. Popular Uses Our selection includes crystallized fruits, dried fruit, citrus peel, botanicals, and specialty ingredients that work well in beer, cider, mead, wine, hard seltzer, kombucha, and homemade soda. Whether you're brewing a Belgian ale, creating a fruit-forward cider, or adding tropical notes to a hard seltzer, these ingredients provide authentic fruit flavor and aroma. Brewing Tips Through our own recipe development, we've found crystallized fruit works best when added during packaging, allowing you to build fresh fruit character while minimizing haze from boiled fruit. Citrus peel is commonly added late in the boil or whirlpool, while dried fruit and botanicals may be used at different stages depending on the desired flavor and aroma. Start with a conservative amount and adjust to taste. Fruit Purees | Fruit Extracts/Flavoring | Spices All Fruits
