About

Fruit Purees for Beer, Cider, Mead & Wine Fruit puree makes it easy to add concentrated fruit character without the preparation and variability that can come with whole fruit. Purees blend easily into fermented beverages and can add flavor, aroma, color, and fermentable fruit sugars to recipes ranging from raspberry wheat beer and blueberry mead to tropical hard seltzers and fruit-forward ciders. Our current selection includes Mazzoni fruit purees in a wide range of classic and specialty flavors, making it easy to use a single fruit or combine multiple purees to create your own blend. Why Brew with Fruit Puree? Unlike fresh or frozen fruit, fruit puree provides consistent flavor, color, and aroma from batch to batch while eliminating peeling, chopping, or sanitizing fruit before brewing. The puree blends easily into fermented beverages and helps create fresh fruit character in everything from raspberry wheat beer and blackberry mead to tropical hard seltzers and fruit-forward ciders. Brewing Tips For the brightest fruit character, we recommend adding fruit puree after primary fermentation has slowed. Since the natural fruit sugars will ferment, allow adequate fermentation time before packaging. Cold crashing after fermentation can help improve clarity before kegging or bottling.
