About
Ahrens Family Farm has been raising chickens in Peterborough, Ontario since 1890 — six generations on the same land, doing the same work. The birds are raised free-range on certified organic feed, air-chilled instead of water-chilled (meaning no absorbed water weighing down the meat), and processed without the shortcuts that define most poultry on Canadian shelves. It's what chicken tasted like before the industry got in the way.
