Alien Workshop is a company with comparatively deep roots for a still-relevant skateboard company. AWS was founded in 1990 and has always brought forward an original visual style, having made many classic skate videos including Time Code, Photosynthesis and Mindfield. The trademark Alien video aesthetic has revolved around integrating skate footage with striking 16mm film shots of bizarre cultural oddities and various unclassifiable Americana. Yaje Popson, Joey Guevara and Frankie Spears are professional team riders for the Sovereign Sect.
