Port

Port is a type of fortified wine made in the Douro valley in northern Portugal . Typically, ports are rich and sweet but there are various styles to choose from including ruby, tawny, rosé , white and vintage. Often sipped neat after a meal, or paired with desserts and cheeses, ports also make a lovely pre-dinner aperitif - and a good bottle of port makes a fantastic gift (especially at Christmas).
