Ozone generators produce O3 which is O2 (a normal oxygen molecule) with an extra oxygen atom joined on. Ozone readily loses this extra atom when it touches odour-causing particles, effectively oxidising and thereby neutralising them. It also oxidises viruses, bacteria and fungal spores, killing them too. Used in a hydroponics grow room or grow tent, an ozone generator will help kill smells and keep infections away.
