Tandem Kayaks

About

With a tandem kayak, you’ll have plenty of room to share your next adventure with your BF, or even your giant dog, Sir Brutus the Wave Eater. Tandem kayaks come in many styles and sizes to suit your particular needs. We will go over several different styles for any adventure below. The most popular 2 person kayak models are usually designed for recreational kayaking. If you and a friend want to paddle a lake, slow moving river, or any other calm water you’ll love the Aquaglide Chinook 120 Inflatable Kayak. This double kayak is great for families due to its stable design and innate balance. Perhaps you are looking for a tandem kayak that can also be paddled solo. If that’s the case, check out the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Inflatable Kayak. The Convertible Elite is built to be paddled either with 2 folks or just with 1, depending on your needs. It even had decks that can be attached to convert this open deck to a closed deck, for both tandem or solo paddling. Perhaps you’d prefer a hardshell kayak over an inflatable. Check out the Point 65 N Tequila! GTX Tandem Modular Kayak. This nimble double kayak paddles straight as an arrow with the tracking keel. And since it’s modular it won’t take up as much space as a regular hardshell. The Snap-Tap system on Point 65 N kayaks makes it easy to break down the kayak for transport and reassemble quickly at the put-in, or even remove the center section to paddle solo. If you are looking for a fantastic 2 person inflatable for open water touring or covering long distances then you will love the Aquaglide Chelan 140 Tandem Inflatable Kayak. The Chelan is a performance touring IK with enhanced hull speed and paddling efficiency. It also features plenty of gear storage. If you would prefer an all-in-one package with everything you need for you and your buddy to hit the water in style, check out the Sea Eagle RazorLite 473rl Inflatable Kayak Pro Tandem Package.
