In 1993 long before recycled, green and conscious were the buzzwords of the fashion and outdoor industry, Markus and Daniel Freitag started using discarded curtain-sider trailer tarpaulins to craft waterproof, resilient bags - each one recycled, each one unique - which spawned a cult like following amongst bike messengers and cyclists of all stripes, as well as anyone looking for an ergonomic, waterproof bag. Committed to a circular closed-loop economy, the Freitag brothers remain sole owners of the freethinking FREITAG brand, which continues to obsessively push the envelope.
