Flush with technical expertise and influenced by their mountainous locale in the French Alps, the brand counted legendary alpinists like Maurice Herzog, Lionel Terray and René Desmaison as fans. In the ensuing decades, Galibier shifted their business model to custom orders only, fading from mainstream view and becoming the sole preserve (and closely guarded secret) of the most knowledgeable outdoor enthusiasts… thus setting the stage for a grand reintroduction. The Galibier mission has remained unchanged since the brand’s inception: combining expert, bygone craftsmanship with contemporary premium materials, all in the service of connecting us to our natural environments.
