Keen have been in business since 2003 when they first developed their toe protecting sandal for the water sports market. Based in USA’s outdoor capital, Portland - Keen pushed forward the functional outdoor sandal and developed a whole line of renownedly comfortable outdoor footwear. At some point a wily type in the R&D department (the founder’s son in actual fact) developed the Uneek style and took them from being a slightly square outdoor footwear brand, to creators of a future shoe come sandal and therein breaking new ground.
