Founded in 1919 by Asher “Dick” Kelty, a designer credited with bringing the first external-frame backpack to the consumer market. Over their 70 years in business, from their base in Boulder, Colorado, Kelty expanded beyond backpacks to a wide variety of outdoors equipment, always focussing on functional designs with high-spirited colour schemes.
