Bionic makes five toys here, all moulded from BIONIC Rubber — made without BPA, lead or phthalates, dishwasher safe, and buoyant, so every one of them floats. Four are chew toys built around a treat pocket. One is not, and that is the distinction to get right before ordering. Which one for which dog The Ball, the Bone and the Urban Stick each come in Small, Medium and Large, and each has one or more treat pockets you can pack with paste or kibble. The Bone's pocket runs right through it and the main chew areas carry thick ridges; the Urban Stick uses a patented defensive geometry, meaning the shape itself is designed to be awkward for a dog to get a destructive grip on. The Stuff is a single-size hollow shell (6.7 x 13 x 21cm) meant to be filled — stuff it, freeze it, and a five-minute distraction becomes a long one. The Toss-N-Tug is the exception. It is a lightweight ring, 1.5 x 22.5 x 23cm, made to roll, be thrown and be tugged, and it is not intended as a chew toy . Handing it to a determined chewer as their unsupervised toy is the way to be disappointed by it. Sizing and sense Where a size choice exists, size up rather than down — a toy that cannot fit past the back teeth is the one that stays in one piece.
