Brightkins makes treat puzzles and slow feeders in food shapes — pizza, cupcakes, a deli sandwich, a DJ deck. Underneath the novelty they are a graded set: lift-out mechanisms at the easy end (Cupcake Party, Slice of Pie), lift-and-slide in the middle (Pizza Party, Surprise Party), and multi-step puzzles at the hard end (Brain Teaser, Pupstrami Surprise, Kanoodle). The Spinning Hydrants and DJ Doggo are large enough to put a whole dry meal through, which makes them slow feeders as much as toys. Choosing one — start easier than you think. A dog that fails at a hard puzzle usually walks away and does not come back to it, so the point of the easy ones is to teach the dog that poking at plastic pays. Match the size to the dog's muzzle, not its cleverness: a labrador cannot get into small compartments and a toy breed cannot reach into large ones. The Kanoodle comes in Small and Large for exactly that reason. These are activity toys, not chew toys.
