Chipsi is made in Germany by JRS and the thing that separates it from mill shavings is dust extraction. Loose shavings straight off a saw carry fine dust that irritates small animal airways, and rabbits and guinea pigs cope with it badly. Chipsi is kiln-dried and the fines are removed before packing. Classic is unscented and comes in 15L, 60L and a 12.5kg compressed bale. Citrus and Green Apple are the same bedding with a scent worked through, in 15L and 60L. Chipsi Snake is a coarser chip made for snake enclosures - it holds a burrow shape and spot cleans without stripping the whole tank. Choosing between them - scented bedding sits over ammonia rather than removing it, so it buys a day or two between changes, not a week. Skip it entirely for any animal with a history of respiratory trouble and use Classic. What actually controls smell is a deep enough absorbent layer changed before it saturates. Softwood shavings are not everyone's choice for very small rodents. If you avoid pine on principle, a paper or hemp bedding is the alternative. All small animal supplies Reptile supplies
