Cobber is a dry dog food range built around working and family dogs, sold in bag sizes from 3kg up to 20kg. The line covers a working dog recipe, adult recipes in beef and chicken, a senior 7+ recipe, a healthy weight recipe and a puppy food. Choosing a recipe — start with what the dog does, not what it likes. A stock or sporting dog in real work needs the Working Dog recipe; a pet dog on the same food will put weight on. A desexed or less active dog is the case for Healthy Weight. Beef and chicken adult recipes are interchangeable unless your dog reacts to one of them. Choosing a size — buy what you will get through in about a month. Kibble does not spoil quickly but it goes stale in an opened bag, and a dog that goes off its food is a bigger problem than the few dollars saved on a bulk bag.
